Straight Engagement Rings in Anchorage, AK

When one thinks of a classic engagement ring, they often have the image of a straight-set in mind. Characterized by a simplicity that honors the focus being on the center stone without added ornamentation, it is usually paired with the similarly minded solitaire cut.

Because of its strong place in jewelry history, it is also a ring-type that is very much prone to personalization. While they still maintain the softness to be classified as a straight engagement ring, below are rings that give the classic a little bit of a contemporary twist.

Armenian-Romanian born designer Haig Tacorian and his children, Paul and Nadine, head the amazing team behind the renowned Los Angeles based jewelers, Tacori. In this 18k Rose Gold Simply Tacori Engagement Ring, we see a bold change to this classic ring. Bold, primarily because of the extravagance of the horizontal marquise cut center stone, whose beauty is worthy of the center stone highlight of the straight engagement ring.

The shape itself is accentuated by the presence of three diamonds along each of the two corners of the stone, giving off the illusion of a grander wider marquise diamond. Along both sides of the upper part of the band, filigree beading lines the edges, with four round cut diamonds in the middle, growing slightly larger as they move down the shank.

The profile of the band is something to be gazed at, as well, and features a dazzling display of various beading patterns. With the crown being perched up high in classic Tacori style, we see the gorgeousness of the many tentacle-like prongs holding up the centerpiece besides, again, more round cut diamonds.

Another spectacular portrayal of the meticulousness in a Tacori design is with this 18k White Gold Sculpted Crescent Engagement Ring. Holding up the round cut center stone is an eight prong setting that accentuates the shape and further highlights the diamond. Along the top portion of the band, we see a numerous amount of diamonds in a bead and bright setting broken up into various oval shapes.

On the profile of the band, a beaded edge lays beside the designer’s classic crescent silhouette, forming the half heart shapes that have come to define the company. Holding up the center stone, however, is a gorgeous filigree bead display that scallops around the diamond and forms leaf shapes below, giving off the regality of the crown in a royal scepter.

Growing up in California with jeweler parents, the brothers behind Parade Design, Allen & William Pung, started their own company in 2001. The two brothers’ differing stylistic views meet perfectly to create complex but simple designs in harmony. From the Hera Collection, Parade brings us this Vintage inspired 18k White Gold Engagement Ring featuring a sparkling princess cut center stone. In a shared prong setting, five diamonds stud the shank on both sides.

Along with the profile and holding up the crown of the ring, milgrain detail waves around in an elegant display. This ring is a perfect representation of a vintage style brought into the delicacy of contemporary trends.
