Three Stone Engagement Rings in Anchorage, AK

We as westerners have long been comforted by the idea of three. There’s the “rule of threes,” in writing that suggests that three is a more pleasing number, and the saying “ Good things come in threes,” which again abides by the idea that the number produces optimal results.

Maybe the favorable connotation comes from our country’s Christian background and represents the Holy Trinity, maybe, perhaps, it stems from the life cycle of “Past, Present, Future.” At Michael’s Jewelers, however, we like to think of the intrinsic beauty of the Three Stone Engagement Ring as the reason, and that’s why we’re happy to offer you a variety of versions of this classic style from the brilliant designer, Tacori.

Handcrafted in California, Tacori believes that every piece of jewelry tells a story, and designs engagement rings with you and your story in mind. The story of Tacori is the story of Armenian immigration to the States, and how a husband and wife duo are the best kind of team to make engagement rings. Founded in 1979 by Haig and Gilda Tacorian, their children Paul and Nadine have now stepped in to help run the family business.

In this 18k Yellow Gold Engagement Ring, we see Tacori playing with the idea of illusion. A round cut center stone is framed by a halo of multi-sized round cut diamonds. Because of the placement of the diamonds, where smaller ones are placed along the sides of the halo and larger ones placed along the four rounded corners, it gives off the appearance that the center stone is a cushion cut, instead of round.

Along both sides of the crown, the shoulders of the band feature a dazzling baguette cut diamond. Along the shank, diamonds line half way down in a surface prong setting. As part of their Dantela Collection launched in 2006, the crown features intricate lace work that evokes the regality of a royal scepter.

On the profile of the band, we can see the iconic crescent shaped silhouette of Tacori, with a round cut diamond leaving its luxurious mark on the top part of both sides. Just below, the Dantela signature; a singular crescent and a singular diamond.

A more delicate approach is taken in this Simply Tacori Platinum Engagement Ring. A round cut center stone is held together in a classic four prong setting. The other two diamonds in this three stone style are glamorous pear shaped stones, held only by prongs at the top and the bottom, leaving the sides gorgeously exposed in a profile view.

Tapered edges on the band and the placement of the pear shaped diamond pointing down guide the eye inwards towards the center stone, giving it a lovely focus. On the profile of the band, we again see the iconic crescent silhouette, but scalloped just a little wider to accommodate three diamonds inside. Milgrain detail also lines the top edge of the band and provides a glamorous base for the three stones to elevate from.
